MCV Wayfinder ("the app") is operated by Mid-City Vineyard Church to help outreach volunteers and the public find verified homelessness-support resources — shelter, meals, medical, legal, mental health, and similar services — near their current location. This page explains what information the app collects and how it is used.

Location

With your permission, the app uses your device's location to sort and filter nearby resources and, for signed-in volunteers, to record where a logged interaction took place. Location is used only while the app is open and is never sold or shared with advertisers. You can deny or revoke location access at any time in your device settings; the app still works with a manually entered location.

Volunteer accounts

Volunteers who sign in to log outreach interactions provide an email address and password. Interaction logs may include a first name, prayer request notes, and whether a Hope Bag/Hope Card was given — entered voluntarily by the volunteer, never required. This information is used only to track outreach activity for the church's program and is not sold or shared with third parties.

Feedback

The in-app feedback form sends your message, and an optional name and email if you provide them, to the program coordinator so issues and suggestions can be addressed. This information is used only to respond to your feedback.

What we don't collect

Data retention

Interaction logs are retained for up to 24 months to support program reporting, after which they are deleted or de-identified. You may request deletion of your volunteer account and associated data at any time using the contact information below.
